Description
VLADiK BRUTAL - Vladik finds himself in a deserted city in Eastern Europe, where a dictator seized power long ago, and he turned all those who disagreed into possessed soldiers. There are no plans to save anyone here: the task is to survive and reach the end. The arsenal is replenished as you go: some of the guns are in hiding places, some are taken from fallen enemies. The music and gunshot sounds are tight, making the gunfights feel heavier than they seem.
Shooting takes place from the first person, and there are twelve types of weapons in the game, from a shotgun to something heavy. Enemies are dismantled into pieces, blood flows generously, and damage is counted in detail, so ammunition and first aid kits are consumed quickly. Battles do not forgive carelessness: opponents hit hard, and reloading takes time.
In addition to shootouts, there are puzzles and riddles, and Easter eggs are hidden in the levels for the attentive. Bosses are sometimes completely unexpected, including a fight with a helicopter. The locations look lived-in and empty at the same time, and posters with portraits of the dictator are hung on the walls. In addition to shooting, there are moments where you just need to look around and understand where to go next.
The plot is presented darkly and humorously at the same time, and this combination maintains the pace until the very end. The project is short, but eventful. Sometimes you come across allies, but you shouldn't rely on them for long. The plot proceeds in short chapters, and each one ends with a tangible shift in history.
For those who love brutal shooters with generous cruelty and do not expect subtle drama from them.
