XCOM: Enemy Unknown is an exciting tactical turn-based strategy game with many role-playing elements and roleplaying of various character types and troop classes. This is a remake of the classic 1993 project and the founder of a new line of games in the XCOM universe. The time period was chosen in accordance with the original - 2015. On an alternate version of Earth, there was a technological boom, with mind-altering devices being discovered to create pseudo-magic. The gamer is faced with the task of becoming the leader of the Extraterrestrial Combat squad - XCOM for short. This department is prepared and equipped with the latest science, and has access to the best weapons to counter the alien invasion, which starts in 2015. The player needs to form squads of up to 6 people to carry out various operations to destroy alien outposts and destabilize the situation from inside the enemy camp. The game consists of turn-based battles, where the decisive factor will be the selection of a group of people with different abilities necessary to win. Correct assessment of the situation, taking positions at the location and accurate, error-free shooting is the key to destroying the vile aliens. There are 5 different classes available for recruitment into the X-Com squad with a unique set of skills: • Assault - Great for flanking, armed with a pistol, as well as an assault rifle or shotgun. • Psionic – has various abilities, such as intimidating opponents or gaining control over them. • Support Soldier - knows how to heal squad members in case of critical damage and carry three pharmacies with them, while the rest take only one with them. • Heavy infantryman - perfectly controls a machine gun or plasma gun, has a grenade launcher in the second slot. • Sniper – likes to be away from the epicenter of the battle, thanks to this he takes a convenient place and conducts targeted fire from afar with a rifle with several sights.
