Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery)

Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery) is a real-time city planning simulator. The journey begins with a small village, which gradually grows into a metropolis and becomes the economic center of the country. At the same time, the player completes a long list of tasks. Managing a large settlement is not easy, so it’s worth preparing for the difficulties and needs of citizens in advance. Fields and mines supply the city with supplies. Ambassadors bring proposals for an alliance. Each location has story characters, and everyone asks for a favor. Some need wheat, some need help with trade, some need weapons. A riot breaks out if goods go missing. The church and the tavern distract the townspeople from their worries. The Navy protects merchant ships. As the settlement grows, you have to think about where to place people and what to feed them. Jobs are created in the mines, in the fields, in tailoring and baking bread. Then comes the turn of places for rest and church. It is expensive to support a huge number of people. Ships travel along trade routes. Trade and higher taxes come to the rescue. In order for citizens to be able to pay, their standard of living is raised to at least the middle class, and for this a number of conditions and requirements of residents must be met. Demands grow along with wealth. The export of goods is accelerated if roads are built and infrastructure is developed so that related buildings stand side by side. The map opens as you swim. Anyone who likes economic strategies with a city view will find this game suitable.
