ArcaniA - the hero’s village is destroyed, and with it the entire southern island: the king and his paladins go through the world with fire and sword. He sets off on the road with almost no equipment - in rags and with a simple club, and he has to earn his first serious weapon. The first tasks give money and equipment, then durable armor, potions and scrolls appear. The battles take place from a third person and follow the usual slasher set: a quick blow, a block, a roll, a series of finishing attacks. Magic is revealed gradually and by the middle of the story becomes the basis of the hero's assembly. You have to explore the island yourself: villages, mines, forests and cliffs are connected by roads, and orders from locals allow you to get useful things. Traveling next to the main character is a girl wearing an ancient magical artifact, and this is both a plot detail and part of the local secrets. The main threat is a portal through which creatures from another dimension climb onto Feshir, so for the final skirmishes you need a good sword, and it’s better not to go there without a supply of potions. The world around is gloomy, battles are intense, and provincial settlements do not favor strangers. The companion tells you where to go next, and her artifact serves as the key to several local mysteries. The weather and time of day on the island affect what is happening: in the fog it is worse to see, and some of the creatures crawl out of their holes at night. Health is restored slowly, so you should look for herbs and potions in advance. For everyone who loves classic role-playing adventures with sword, magic and a gloomy island to boot.
