Cronos: The New Dawn

Cronos: The New Dawn - sci-fi survival horror from studio Bloober Team. The surroundings are composed of Eastern European brutalism and retrofuturism: alternative Poland, the industrial district of Nowa Huta, two time layers. The eighties show the beginning of a catastrophe that changed the planet forever, and the future is a burnt wasteland ruled by mutants. The main character is a Traveler, rushing between eras through spatial rifts. In the past, he searches for doomed residents and extracts from them valuable essences necessary to save the remnants of humanity. The faults also serve as doors: the hero sees the same area in two states - before and after the apocalypse. Survival requires calculation: ammunition and resources are limited, so every clip counts. Enemies are capable of absorbing fallen relatives and merging into new, more formidable forms - a creature not finished off in time returns stronger. An arsenal with melee and ranged weapons helps: fire and accuracy decide who will come out of the encounter unscathed.
