The main character in the person of Adam Jensen, the head of the security service of the Sharif Industries corporation, witnessed an armed attack by terrorists on their headquarters, as a result of which important scientists of the company disappeared: Eric Koss, Nia Colvin, Declan Faherty, Vasily Shevchenko and Adam's girlfriend Megan Reed. The hero himself receives injuries incompatible with life. David Sharif, the corporation's boss, prevents Jensen from dying and replaces his damaged organs and limbs with augmented implants, creating Adam as a cybersoldier. Returning to his place of work in a new guise, the main character will have to solve this mysterious attack on the company, which will not only answer all the questions, but will confuse the player even more. The gameplay combines elements of stealth and first-person action. During moments of interaction with shelters, stairs or close contact with the enemy, the camera allows you to see the main character. Many implants are not immediately available. As the player progresses, he accumulates experience points, represented by Praxis upgrade packages, which allow him to improve an existing implant or open a new branch of augmentations. The core mechanics are based on the following elements: • Different ways to achieve the goal: the game has a semi-open world and vast spaces containing many detours and hidden paths. Some can only be seen through careful attention, while others can only be passed through with existing implants; • The combat arsenal includes many weapons, including tranquilizer guns, machine guns, rocket launchers, as well as the Typhoon mass destruction system, which allows you to be proactive and play the game like a shooter; • The gameplay allows you to hack terminals, computers, safes, combat robots, etc. Hacking the system occurs through a mini-game of capturing nodes; The game allows you to completely go through the story without killing and without ever letting yourself be detected; • There is a reward system for using non-obvious solutions and searching for hidden paths; • In addition to Detroit, the player will also visit China. All locations contain many caches and additional tasks given by various NPCs.
