Diablo 2 is a legendary role-playing game in a dark fantasy setting, continuing the story of its 1996 predecessor, the events of which take place in the world of Sanctuary, captured by a demonic entity. The gameplay of Diablo II is significantly simplified compared to many role-playing games, as it is a combination of slasher and RPG elements. The player controls one of the game classes to choose from, clearing locations from monsters and receiving rewards for killing opponents, upgrading the characteristics of the character and weapons. Among the game classes there are: • Amazon is a robber hero. Can use bows, spears and magic; • Necromancer – a priest of the Rathma cult who uses powerful spells associated with death; • Barbarian is a melee fighter from the lands of Arreat. Withstands a huge amount of damage and holds a powerful weapon in each hand; • Sorceress – a witch from a rebellious coven. A powerful spellcaster who uses fire, ice and lightning magic; • Paladin - a crusader representing the Church of Zakarum, who defeated the army of King Leoric. The hero uses both melee weapons and magic. Can use both combat and defensive auras, as well as offensive auras. Diablo 2 includes a number of unique features: • Horadric cube – the ability to transform one object into another. • Level generator – before starting a new game, locations, enemies and dungeons are created randomly. • Waypoints – a teleport system that allows you to quickly move your character. Depending on the difficulty chosen, including Normal, Nightmare and Hell, the player receives different titles: Sir (Lady for women), Lord (Lady) or Baron (Baroness). The plot includes four full acts with an epilogue, accompanied by cinematic cutscenes for which Blizzard is famous. There is also multiplayer, which will allow several players to complete the campaign at once or fight in PvP mode.
