Fable Anniversary

Fable Anniversary is a re-release released by the developers for the anniversary of the original game. Among the large-scale innovations: updated graphics, as well as a simplified interface and save system. The plot has not been changed. The player is invited to try on the image of an ordinary boy living in a small village in the kingdom of Albion. The hero often has dreams in which he sees himself either as a glorified hero or as an insidious villain. One day, the boy's village is set on fire by unknown people, and his entire family dies. The main character decides to deal with the robbers at all costs and goes to study at the Guild of Heroes, where he can master the skills of sword fighting, archery and witchcraft. The player controls the character from the 3rd person. Interaction with surrounding objects and characters is widely developed. The project stands out among other games due to the variety of its combat system, where each button is individually responsible for striking with a sword, shooting with a bow or casting a magic spell. In order to attack a specific enemy, you need to point the camera at him, and then all attacks will be concentrated only on him. By combining different types of attacks, you can accumulate a multiplier - a special scale that is responsible for the experience gained. The game has several experience options: • general; • responsible for strength; • responsibility for skills; • magical experience. Points received during completion can be spent on various improvements to skills, abilities and characteristics. The weapons in the game are varied: the melee weapon available at the beginning is an ordinary stick, and by the end of the passage - the Tear of Avo or the Sword of Ages. Swords also differ in materials of manufacture: iron, steel, obsidian, as well as Master and Legendary ones made of unknown material. Bows and crossbows are made from yew, oak or ebony, which also affects their characteristics. Each weapon, except the legendary one, can be equipped with a special modifier that adds unique abilities. The main distinguishing feature of this project, which also carried over into the remaster, is complete character personalization. Each game action affects the appearance. Villainous deeds turn the hero into a freak who frightens others, and good deeds make his appearance attractive. Clothing and accessories also affect the NPC's attitude. What weapon the player chooses to use also affects the protagonist, for example, an archer is always tall and slender, while a swordsman is always strong and squat. The game has the opportunity to purchase and rent out real estate, fish, participate in fist fights and much more. By collecting 30 silver keys scattered throughout the world, you will be able to open valuable chests, and by completing the “Demon Door” quests, gain access to secret locations. Among the main differences from the original Fable Anniversary are improved graphics, brought to 1080p resolution. Lighting, shadows and special effects have been improved, Unreal Engine 3 is also used. The developers have simplified the book interface and control system. Plus, the creators have added new sets of weapons, clothing and armor.
