Heroes of Might & Magic 3 - HD Edition is an updated version of the popular turn-based strategy series with RPG elements - Heroes 3. The re-release adds support for modern widescreen monitors and improved graphics, including redrawn sprites. But two expansions were cut - Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death - due to problems with the source codes. Heroes 3 HD takes place in the world of Enroth, where King Nicholas Gryphonheart dies on the continent of Antagarich. His daughter comes to the funeral, but sees a deplorable picture of the invasion of evil demons from the dungeons of the islands of Nigon and Eofol. And only you, being drawn into a full-scale war, will be able to free your homeland from bloodthirsty invaders. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 HD's narrative is divided into 7 distinct campaigns, each with its own distinct storyline: Hail the Queen, Dungeons and Devils, Echoes of War, Liberation, Hail the King, Praise the Father, and Seeds of Discontent. Take control of the heroes and lead your armies into battle against mythological creatures. The initial acquaintance with the project will take place on an open strategic map, on which movement, capture of settlements and other adventure actions actually take place. Another important aspect of Heroes of Might and Magic III is the combat system. When entering battle, a general map of what is happening appears, divided into squares. Moves must be made alternately with the enemy. At the end of the battle, experience points are awarded, which will be used to increase the level of the characters. In addition to the main units, there are neutral NPCs guarding valuable artifacts and resources. As an economic milestone, the project presents several types of cities: • The castle is a traditional fantasy home of knights and mythical creatures, including griffins and angels. There is a powerful army with arrows and warriors. • Stronghold – a mixture of civilization and nature. Inhabited by gnomes, dendroids, elves and dragons. • The Tower is a magically oriented state. Inhabited by wizards, sorcerers and alchemists. • Inferno is the habitat of hellish creatures such as devils, Cerberus and demons. It presupposes a cruel worldview with all the attendant features. • Necropolis is a place where the dead, vampires and ghosts exist. All residents have "Necromancy", capable of creating skeletons from fallen warriors. • The dungeon is fraught with many secrets. Populated by dark lords and sorcerers who rely on enslavement, power and wealth.
