Hydroneer

Hydroneer is a gold mining simulator where everything is based on mechanisms. The player receives a plot of land, a pickaxe and a small amount, and then decides how to set up the fishery: dig by hand or assemble a system of pumps, conveyors and washing machines. The peculiarity is that the equipment is assembled from parts with your own hands. Pipes need to be connected, water must be supplied, dirt must be passed through the device, and what is found must be melted into ingots. Over time, you manage to launch a process that almost works on its own, and then things go faster. There is transport and underwater areas where it is more difficult to obtain valuable rocks. Progress is measured in the expansion of possessions: new plots, improvements, more serious cars. The game does not rush, but generously rewards those who like to understand the structure of systems: half the fun here is in the setup, and not in the ingots themselves. Separately, it is worth noting that the game has a growth system: the more equipment and areas, the faster production is established. Some mechanisms require certain conditions, and they have to be rearranged to select a working configuration. This is the same fuss for which people come to such sandboxes. It is worth adding that each site has its own logic: somewhere the rock lies close to the surface, and somewhere you have to wash cubic meters of rock for the sake of a few grams. Therefore, it is profitable to expand gradually, and not immediately buy the largest plots. The graphics are simple, the physics are funny in places. The Hydroneer is an option for those who love industrial sandboxes and want to build something that works with their own hands.
