METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is a remaster of the classic stealth action game about how the legendary soldier got his name. The action takes place in 1964, at the height of the Cold War. Naked Snake infiltrates the Soviet Union to stop the nuclear threat. He is opposed by his former mentor Boss, who has gone over to the enemy’s side. As the story progresses, Ocelot, Eve and The End appear, and each poses their own challenge to the hero. Stealth remains the basis: noise, tracks and anxiety influence the behavior of patrols. You have to get food and medicine on the spot, and treat your wounds yourself. Weather and time of day change vision and hearing. The camera can be switched between a familiar view and a modern one. Recordings and conversations on the radio explain the situation. Some episodes are memorable for the one-on-one confrontation. Security guards follow the routes, so surveillance pays off. Snake uses his surroundings: boxes, bushes and walls help him hide. The quest diary stores hints and conversation records. Wounds are treated separately, and this is noticeable in the hero’s behavior. Camouflage is changed to suit the terrain to remain undetected. Some tasks are completed without firing a single shot. Weapons and equipment are obtained locally. Meetings with opponents rarely end quickly. Some episodes take place on trains and bunkers. Opponents learn from the player's mistakes. Walkie-talkies carry much of the plot. You can fail some tasks, and this changes the course of history. Wounds leave marks on the hero. The game is suitable for anyone who loves covert operations.
