Mirrors Edge: Catalyst

Mirrors Edge: Catalyst is a reboot of the story of Faith, a parkour master who confronts an evil corporation. The original was released in 2008. The genre has not changed since the first game in the series - an action platformer with a view from the eyes of the main character. The setting for the story and gameplay is the City of Mirrors. It is completely open and the gamer decides where to go next and which route. What has also remained unchanged is that the metropolis has established surveillance of people and the information they absorb. As the Conglomerate company states, this is necessary for the safety of everyone and a bright future without crime and violence. Whether such talk is true remains to be seen by Faith. The “runner's vision” mechanic has remained since the first part - sharpening attention by highlighting objects that the main character can use or interact with. But the combat system has undergone changes. Now Faith doesn't use firearms (unlike her enemies), but instead relies on her solid hand-to-hand combat skills. In addition to the main storyline of Mirror Edge, secondary tasks are also available for completion: completing a route using running and parkour in the allotted time, collecting something, and so on. The tasks will take the gamer both to tall buildings for combat and racing through them, and to laboratories, sewers, ventilation and many other places that will be explored during the passage. Catalyst's addition of a tether that allows you to grab onto drones flying around will speed up movement and add some variety.
