There is no in-game economy - there is simply no money here. To strengthen your military power, you need to show yourself as a manager and establish connections with other factions. Resources for recruiting an army, building and improving buildings are obtained from trophies and through allies. Factions have their own sets of resources that they will share in exchange for something worthwhile. The supply trains are guarded by soldiers. After a won battle, you manage to collect a lot of armor and guns. What they get is not always suitable for their warriors, so trophies are put up for exchange: with the right dialogue, you can always get what you need. The most valuable resource is the influence that quest chains and victories in difficult battles bring. Rank matters no less: it opens access to special resources, items and weapons, and at the same time increases the size of the army.
