MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a boomer shooter, stylized in monochrome animation of the 30s, immersing you in the dark atmosphere of the criminal Mausburg. Jack Pepper, a wartime detective, begins a search for missing townspeople, which leads him to the trail of a conspiracy within the ranks of the local police. The investigation covers various corners of the metropolis: from luxurious opera and film studios to foggy swamps and sewers. The plot is presented through voiced monologues of the main character, creating the effect of being inside a classic noir film. The combat system relies on high mobility and active use of vertical space when clearing locations. Using a grappling hook and sliding skills allows you to move between firing points at lightning speed during skirmishes with armed gangs. In MOUSE: PI For Hire, shooting is complemented by a system of improvements activated by collected drawings and special resources. Particular attention is paid to battles with leaders, where a competent combination of the available arsenal and tactical techniques is required. Between missions, the hero returns to the office or pub to replenish supplies and analyze the collected data. On the evidence board, chains of evidence are formed, opening up new areas of research and additional tasks. Leisure activities are complemented by collecting baseball cards and searching for newspaper clippings hidden in secret recesses of the city. The presence of workshops and retail outlets ensures constant character progress throughout the 16-hour adventure.
