Subsequently, the possibilities for tuning and customizing the car were significantly expanded. The main gameplay innovation was the large open world of the city of Bayview, through which the player can move freely. Career is represented by 6 different types of races: Ring, Drag Racing, Sprint, Street X, Drifting, Professional League. There are fast drive and test drive modes. As you drive down the street, you will meet street racers with whom you can compete in the open world. For winning these types of races you can receive rewards: an improved hood, engine, transmission or tires. An additional mode allows you to get on the cover of a popular publication. In total, the Russian NFS Underground 2 machines have 20 printed covers and 10 DVDs. Since the game is an open world, the player is free to choose a task and complete the competition in any order. In order to start the race, you need to drive up to the corresponding pictogram in the city. As you move freely around Bayview, you can find money, bonuses, or receive messages from friends.
