ORX

ORX is a fantasy strategy game with maps and tower defense elements. The spirit of board games is conveyed through the rules and leisurely decisions. Cards are divided into units, equipment and spells. Losing takes you back to the beginning of the wave, but not to the beginning of the game. Heroes are upgraded between battles. The castle and villages require constant protection. Raids destroy villages one after another. The player builds a castle and develops the surrounding area to withstand raids. Hordes of wild orcs do not allow you to relax, and defense requires preparation. The battlefield is divided into lines, and the breakthrough decides the outcome. Units fight in waves, and respite is rare. The development of the castle affects the strength of the units. Each raid leaves behind devastated villages. Each battle begins with the deployment of units. Cards are obtained in battles and for tasks. Victories bring glory and new allies. The deck is assembled from three hundred cards, each with its own properties. Combinations open up new techniques and change the balance of power. Resources are used for improvements between battles. Rewards for victories open up new cards. Each hero has his own set of cards and his own roles. Building a castle requires stone and wood. Rewards are given for holding the line. Heroes fight on the lines and do not retreat without orders. Each hero has his own story and his own equipment. The battlefield can be seen from above, and this helps to position the defenders correctly. Weather and time of day affect the battle. Repair of fortifications is included in the preparation. For those players who like to defend fortresses, this game is suitable.
