Streets of Rage 4

Streets of Rage 4 is a continuation of the cult beat-em-up series, the previous part of which was released back in 1994. Events begin 10 years after the end of the third game. Peace has returned to Wood Oak City. The syndicate led by Mr. X failed, and the heroes of the series, who made every effort to bring peace to the metropolis, went their separate ways. But as usually happens, a new criminal empire is looming over the city, which the police alone cannot cope with. Despite such a long break, our main characters, returning to the streets for justice, saw the same sparkling neon signs, garbage cans, fried chicken and, of course, the same hooligans and chavs terrorizing the area. The gameplay goes back to the good old days, when there was no need to saturate the gameplay with puzzles, RPG elements and platforming - just solid action with 2D elements and side scrolling. At the beginning of the game, 4 heroes are available. As the story progresses, the 5th one is revealed. There are a total of 12 characters in the game, which are unlocked using earned bonuses. Each fighter is unique in its own way, among them are available: • Floyd - a mountain of muscles with a cyber prosthesis that can grab several opponents at once; • Cherry is a petite guitarist who can run. She is the daughter of Adam Hunter, the hero of the first part; • Axel is a permanent character in the series, presented in the game in as many as three versions: one quickly dodges, the second has a wide range of techniques, the third has a large affected area, etc. At the level, players can pick up first aid kits or melee weapons. Bosses are available at levels who can attack not alone, but with a crowd of minions at once. So-called “juggles” are available - strikes with which you can prevent your opponents from landing or counterattacking. Special attacks are divided into three types: defensive, ground and air. Each character has an ult, the radius of which reaches half the screen. One of the main features of Streets of Rage 4 is that the developers have changed little compared to the classic one. They only slightly modernized it, threw out controversial elements such as the timer, and gave a real holiday feeling to all fans of old-school beat-em-ups and hardcore action.
