Surf up! refers to those games that were made based on cartoons. In this case, the American full-length cartoon about surfing birds was taken as the basis. Fans of the original will be able to meet familiar characters here. The game gives you the opportunity to ride a board on virtual waves. You can play not only alone, but also together on one PC. The second user will need a gamepad. Catch the wave! is a mixture of arcade racing with elements of a sports simulator. The story revolves around the Big Z Memorial Tournament. Everything is like in the original source. Only there is almost no plot and main character as such. There is also no full-fledged career mode. They give you 13 heroes to play with. They can be changed before each race. Among them are Cody Maverick, Zeke, Chicken Joe, Tank Evans, Laney and others. There are also 3 hidden athletes. Participants differ from each other not only in appearance, but also in movements. There are 23 board types to choose from. Moreover, they are allowed to be improved. Each vehicle has 4 parameters. They are responsible for the ability to increase speed as quickly as possible, freestyle, spin, and conserve energy. There are 21 levels available for competitions. The races take place in Antarctica, on Pingu Island and the bay nicknamed the Death Stones. To win, you need to pass checkpoints, perform tricks and earn points. Scattered multipliers help increase your score. When the character is “inside” the wave, a mini-game in the form of a QTE is activated. By the way, the project does not support the mouse, and when controlled from the keyboard, the game does not allow you to change the layout.
