Amnesia: The Dark Descent

The main character wakes up in an old castle and discovers a new event - before going to bed, he drank an amnesia potion, and now he will never remember what happened before. In Amnesia: The Dark Descent, he does this to get rid of severe mental wounds, but the consequences of drinking the elixir are the summoning of a dark spirit that will haunt the protagonist with the purpose of murder. The last request of the past Daniel is to go down to the castle basement and kill Alexander of Brennenburg. Time is constantly running out, so in this survival simulator with indie horror elements we have to carefully but quickly think through all the decisions. The entire scenario consists of solving puzzles and logic problems. Some of them require only mental interaction, and some require intelligence and items found as you progress through the story. Graphically, the game is designed in the style of the developers' previous projects. They placed atmospheric items in all locations, and also did not risk adding a “strong” musical component, so as not to spoil the atmosphere. In the story, the main character Daniel is an excellent archaeologist who, by coincidence, goes to Algeria to find a mysterious artifact in one of the tombs and find out everything about it, but instead the concrete slabs collapse and he uses his last strength to find the Sphere. This artifact is capable of giving the character vision - a rational view of everything; after its use, the Sphere splits, and gives the character a special vision of what is happening. After this, the main character is taken out of the tomb and the leader of the expedition sends the hero back to London. Waking up in his native land, the main character learns that the leader of the expedition has disappeared along with the rest of the group, and the fragments of the Sphere are no longer connected. The main character is so tormented by nightmares that he consults a doctor. From here the restoration of all events begins.
