Dishonored 2

Dishonored 2 is a continuation of the cult stealth action game in a steampunk setting. Events take place 15 years after the end of the original game. The daughter of the late Empress Jessamine, Emily Kaldwin, together with Corvo Attano, the main character of the previous part and also the father of the young ruler, organize the anniversary ceremony of the former empress of the country. But Duke Luca Abele and Delilah Copperspoon burst into the heroes' presence, declaring themselves Jessamine's missing sister and the rightful heir to the throne. The guards cruelly betray the heroes and from now on they will have to restore their rights to the throne. The main difference from the previous part is that there are two playable characters to choose from - Emily and Corvo. The gameplay for them differs significantly, since each of the characters has individual abilities. For example, Emily has access to skills such as Attraction, a hybrid of Transference and Attraction, with the help of which the girl releases the likeness of ghostly hands. She has the ability to erase the memory of enemies, create doubles and the ability of Domino, with which she connects a chain of opponents and, thus killing one, all the others die. Corvo has the same skills as those familiar with the original game. His arsenal includes “Movement”, “Time Warp”, which allows you to slow down enemies, “Invasion” and “Dark Vision”, which highlights active objects and opponents. The story will take us from the gloomy Downwall to sunny Karnaca - the homeland of Corvo. The campaign consists of 7 missions, each of which amazes with its competent and thoughtful design. Just look at Jindosh's Mechanical Mansion, which is a puzzle house with retractable platforms and secret passages. Among the secondary characters, Delilah, Sokolov and Alien will return - a certain mysterious creature who has endowed the main characters with superpowers and knows absolutely everything about this world. In addition, we will have a hub location in the form of the ship “Fallen House,” captained by fellow shipmate Megan Foster. Depending on how you play through the scenario, different endings will be available at the end of the scenario. So, if you fight your way out and kill everyone around you, the world around you will be affected by a high level of chaos, leading to horrific consequences. If you move extremely stealthily and act in professional killer mode, then low-chaos will show a very rosy reputation. Dishonored 2 is a benchmark representative of the immersive simulator genre, striking in the depth of its setting, level design, and showing how to properly create sequels.
