Fahrenheit is one of the first representatives of the newly created genre of "interactive drama", which at one time made significant contributions to the development of story-based video games. The plot is based on paranormal events that occurred in New York. There was a mysterious series of murders where, according to eyewitnesses, calm people suddenly became possessed and attacked those around them. And only you, playing as Lucas Kane, will be able to uncover the truth about the supernatural force terrorizing the city. History is replete with great variability in decisions made. As the plot progresses, the project will more than once ask you to make a decision that will subsequently affect certain events. The gameplay appears in a standard form: exploring locations, communicating with NPCs, interacting with objects. Most items can be studied, "turned over" or even read, as important notes are scattered around. The gameplay includes a large number of different Quick Time Events. In them you need to react to events in time by pressing the proposed key combination. Or hold down certain buttons, for example, to open a window. In addition to everyday missions, there are a large number of different action scenes, seasoned with chases, shootouts and other activities. The developers also added a special character stress resistance system to Indigo Prophecy. So, if the special indicator reaches zero, then the main character can commit suicide or surrender to the police. And in order to increase the level of the “strip”, you need to calm your nerves with the surrounding “interactions”. And these are actions to calm down: drink water, coffee, play a sports game, listen to music, and so on.
