The main character finds himself drawn into hired work, where he has to work for influential people. Based on the chosen background and distribution of the character's characteristics, a unique prologue is formed before immersion in the open world. Users in Cyberpunk 2077 will have to travel through a city open for exploration, in which they will complete various quests. The game is made in the action-adventure role-playing genre, where the emphasis is on building your own story and leveling up your character. You will have to take part in showdowns between influential organizations, fighting opponents with the help of technological equipment or firearms. The character is able to become a hacker, melee fighter or marksman, using implants to improve his skills. The storyline sees V and his comrade Jack trying to steal a biochip containing valuable information about the head of the megacorporation Arasaka. They witness the death of leader Saburo Arasaka, who is killed by Yorinobu's son. The plan changes completely when Dexter's assistant Deshawn appears, attacks the protagonist and leaves him for dead. In order not to lose information, the hero inserts a chip into his head, hoping to save the received data. After surviving the injury, the biochip reveals the identity of local rebel and rock idol Johnny Silverhand. Due to a foreign object in the hero’s mind, he doesn’t have long to live and he has to urgently look for a way to get rid of the chip. Johnny will penetrate the protagonist's mind, influencing his actions and communicating in the form of a hologram. Every action and decision of the gamer affects the development of the plot and the final ending of the game.
