Silent Hill: Homecoming

Silent Hill: Homecoming - Survival Horror with third-person action elements. The story follows hero Alex Shepard, a war veteran returning home to Shepherd's Glen. Upon arrival, he begins a search for his missing brother Joshua. Alex learns that the city is connected with dark rituals, and the road leads him not only to the other world, but also to a city called Silent Hill. Unlike previous installments, Silent Hill: Homecoming focuses on action. The camera is always behind the main character's shoulder. Since Alexey is a former military man, he skillfully wields melee weapons, including a knife and a steel pipe, and is also good with firearms. He can dodge blows and is generally more confident in battle than all his predecessors, be it Harry Mason or James Sunderland. There are several types of shots available. They can be combined. QTE mechanics were also introduced. The hero is capable of being in several states: peaceful and combat. There are 2 difficulty levels available: medium and difficult. In hard mode, stronger monsters appear, and ammunition and healing become less. Despite being action-oriented, Silent Hill: Homecoming's gameplay remains largely unchanged: you need to explore vast locations, interact with multiple heroes, collect supplies, quest items, and solve puzzles. Here a system of moral choice appeared. The ending of the game depends on the decisions made. The arsenal of weapons has expanded significantly. The main character can carry a combat knife, ceremonial dagger, pipe, crowbar, fire axe, Pulaski axe, buzz saw, MK 23 pistol, chrome pistol, 12 gauge shotgun, blued shotgun, M14 rifle, police rifle and alien blaster. The weapon also received practical benefits. For example, you can use an ax to break fragile beams, open a lock with a pipe, break glass with a knife, etc. The inventory is divided into two parts. The first contains quest items and first aid kits, and the second contains weapons, a walkie-talkie and a flashlight. Having found a map, the hero marks important places. Alex writes various information into the diary and adds photographs that he finds throughout the game. Saving occurs near Metatron's special seal.
