Styx: Master of Shadows

Styx: Master of Shadows is a stealth action game about a goblin who steals in a huge tower. A direct collision almost always ends in death, so the bet is on shadows, ledges and distractions. The hero can create clones of himself and also become invisible for a short time. Victims can be removed quietly or thrown down, but the bodies have to be hidden. The tower is divided into levels with different furnishings: from basements to upper chambers. Experience is given for stealth and finds, and not for the number of killed. Clones serve as both a distraction and a working tool: levers are opened through them and the guards are lured out. Skill grows from secretive actions, and open fights provide almost no experience. Some tasks require you not to raise the alarm even once. The shadows and ledges on the levels are located so that there is always a path, but you need to find it. Saves are made at checkpoints. Light and shadow are more important than weapons: in the shadows, the guard does not notice the hero at all. Ambergris serves as currency, and new techniques are bought with it. Some of the levels are connected by exits to the surface. Opponents are divided by type and weapons. The alarm resets after time, but not completely. Fights can almost always be avoided, and the game directly encourages this. Clones are used both for reconnaissance and for opening locked mechanisms. Failure of one task does not prevent you from continuing the campaign, but it does worsen the outcome. Some of the levels are passed from top to bottom along the walls of the tower. Rewards depend on the style of play. The lighting at the levels is done in such a way that the shadows live their own lives. The loot is sold to a buyer in the basement of the tower. Side quests offer you to complete the level separately, without anxiety. This game is suitable for anyone who likes stealth without room for error.
