You can choose one of twelve factions, divided into 5 cultural groups. These will be the Huns and the White Huns - nomads. Representatives of the Roman Empire from the West or East. Eastern power - Sassanids. The settlers in the game universe are Suebi, Alans, Vandals, Ostrogoths and Visigoths. And the barbarians are Saxons or Franks. Regardless of the chosen faction, the developers presented the world of Total War: ATTILA in a different light. There are many factors that influence the economy: fertile soils come in different types and provide different amounts of resources. Many industrial buildings pollute the air, while others, on the contrary, purify it. Epidemics and unsanitary conditions in the game are a huge problem that needs to be monitored. The player will be able to subjugate some cities, making them “puppets”. Such settlements will pay you a certain amount once per season/quarter, which you can increase. The basis of the game is the survival of factions. Nomads survive better than Romans because they are used to changing landscapes, and barbarians - Franks or Saxons - often feel prosperous if they kill and capture cities. Each faction now has a character. The developers added two important things to Total War: ATTILA. The first is a tree of skills and talents of your subordinates. Secondly, you independently control the development of this tree in order to create the most powerful state possible.
