Total War Saga: FALL OF THE SAMURAI

Total War Saga: FALL OF THE SAMURAI is a bloody war between the warriors of feudal Japan and the powerful weapons of the next era. The game takes place 400 years after the previous SHOGUN 2. The Land of the Rising Sun enters the age of technology and begins a brutal war, while the United States, England and France arrive on their territory to support the conflict. The story begins in 1864. Boshin civil strife flares up in the country, caused by dissatisfaction with the imposition of culture by Western countries. To counter them, the country enters the industrial period. This greatly affects nationalism within the country, leading to the overthrow of the shogunate. The player is free to choose the side of the conflict represented by the clans: • Emperor – Choshu, Satsuma, Tosa; • Shogunate – Aizu, Nagaoka, Jozai. The conflict also involves: supporters of progress, managers, traitors and negotiators. Each of these clans brings its own bonuses because it pursues personal goals. For example, progressives have close ties to the West and therefore have access to their weapons and food. Traitors are dexterous and cunning ninjas capable of participating in sabotage and building an insidious strategy against the enemy. The gameplay vividly reflects popular sentiment in 19th century Japan. The troops of the Western powers play an important role in the plot. What connections and relationships the player chooses with these countries depends on the set of units and weapons that the allied countries will provide to the player. The strategy will not only show a bloody war, but will also demonstrate the clash of different cultures and political views. At the same time, the visual side of the game tries to emphasize all the nuances of Japanese religion and culture.
